to misconstrue
is sure, I’ll grant
easy to do

It goes in where
a letter don’t
(I’ll not correct that
if you won’t!)

It makes a word
out of two others
or adds a letter
to another’s

​

Its proper use
is plain to see
so do not fear
apostrophe
